Localisation

At Translation House of Scandinavia, localisation means adapting a translation to the market and/or target group at which the message is aimed so the localised language version reads as if it was an original piece of writing.

In practice, this means that we customise a text to the market’s linguistic, social and other requirements, taking account, not least, of any linguistically or culturally sensitive passages that may need to be reformulated or avoided altogether.

Want to hear more about what distinguishes localisation and ‘ordinary’ translation? If so, then please book a meeting on the right, or contact our Sales & Marketing Manager Birgitte Forné, bfo@oversaetterhuset.dk.
