Translation process

At Translation House of Scandinavia, translation is a high-tech process involving language tools and customer-specific databases, internet research and close contact with external experts etc.

The process comprises:

• Allocating translator(s) and proofreader(s)
• Preparing the texts for translation
• Clarifying terminology, possibly with the customer
• Translation
• Proofreading
• Updating databases
• Layout and delivery

Having dedicated databases containing all translations for a specific customer ensures consistent use of the customer’s preferred terminology and flexibility if the assignment requires several translators working simultaneously.
