SDLX and Trados

Translation House of Scandinavia has always led the way in terms of its development and use of language technology solutions. Following the implementation of SDLX, we can offer our customers even more effective and flexible solutions. Normally, it is necessary to first export formats such as InDesign, FrameMaker and QuarkXpress to a translation-friendly text format.

However, with SDLX’s editing tool, the text can be translated directly once it has been converted, which takes no time at all. Afterwards the original format is recreated – now as translated text – at the click of a button.

Benefits
One of the many advantages of this process is that the translator cannot inadvertently change the codes and formatting of the source text during translation. At the same time, the customer saves the time and costs normally associated with exporting the source text and subsequently importing the translated text.

Moreover, the customer will still benefit from any repetitions in the individual text and any 100% matches from previous texts. In addition to saving time and money, the translation tool also helps to ensure terminological consistency, providing the customer with added value and high-quality products.
