Language prize

Translation House of Scandinavia has established a prize which is awarded each year to a student in the final part of their MA studies (interpreting and translation) at Aarhus School of Business, University of Aarhus or Copenhagen Business School. The aim of the prize is to draw attention to this study programme, which has seen a decline in student numbers, and consequently the number of graduates.

As a responsible company, it is important that we recognise the need for a constant output of new graduates with the right academic profile for our business. The language prize is intended to show students that the translation business values their qualifications.

The language prize consists of two parts:

  • A cash sum
  • A paid trainee period with Translation House of Scandinavia lasting three to six months, by agreement.

Nominations for the language prize are submitted by the students’ lecturers in technical, legal and financial translation as well as in professional oral skills/interpreting and are presented by the Chairman of the Danish Union of Communication and Language Professionals.
