The so-called technical regulations are the EU member states’ legislation within a specific technical area, ranging from licences to remote bingo and casino games in the UK to banning specific vessels from sailing in a named bay in Germany and operating ventilation systems in road tunnels. Member state proposals for technical regulations are translated from all EU languages into Danish so that the Danish authorities and any other stakeholders can check that the proposals comply with the relevant EU legislation and do not hinder the free movement of goods and services.

“Translation House of Scandinavia has extensive experience from the translation of EU texts as we have translated several million words under our contracts with the European Parliament and the European Commission over the past ten years,” says Managing Director Lene Lauridsen. “This contract was, however, concluded with one of our collaboration partners in Luxembourg.”
